Behind the scenes of the Triennale Design MuseumThe holder of this Badge has acquired basic knowledge relating to the world of design, the organisation of exhibitions and the professionals behinds the scenes in a museum, with respect to their specific roles and the proposals of some Italian designers examined over a period of time. He/ She has also gained the awareness to use certain cultural proposals linked to the world of design and has refined his/ her critical skills as well as ability to work in a team. The above-mentioned knowledge and abilities have been acquired by participating in the Bbetween 2017 Cultural Heritage-What is Italian Design? Behind the scenes of the Triennale Design Museum pathway. The program is dedicated to all who wish to explore the world of design through a guided itinerary at the Triennale Design Museum, a point of reference for the world of contemporary design, which offers a unique possibility to access the museum ‘behind the scenes and meet its leading figures. The activities are carried out by experts from the University of Milano-Bicocca and the Triennale Design Museum. Every encounter is characterized by a direct exploration of the museum and its exhibitions, with the use of active and experiential activities, both in small and large groups, following this programme: 8th November 2017-Visit to the Triennale Design Museum, of the exhibition “Giro Giro Tondo Design for Children and meeting with experts and pros of the museum; 15th November 2017-Discovery of the historical archives of the Triennale Museum; 22nd November 2017-The lab of renovation, research and conservation of the Triennale Design Museum; visit to the exhibition “Ettore Sottsass. There is a Planet 29nd November 2017-Assessment time: design workshop.
Badge Criteria
The Badge Bbetween2017 Cultural Heritage-What is Italian Design? Behind the scenes of the Triennale Design Museum is an participation Badge. The Badge is issued to students and employees of the University, as well as others, who have enrolled and taken part in at least 3 of the 4 meetings programmed for the pathway. The pathway is open to everyone and no competencies are required on entry.

The holder of this Badge has demonstrated that he/she possesses and knows how to: tackle the learning strategies related to a cultural site; use the cultural proposals connected to the world of design with awareness; develop his/her own artistic potentials; evaluate the program of a cultural site; enhance the contact with Italian Design; view everyday objects from a different perspective; and has achieved the following SOFT SKILLS: the ability to listen; the ability to analyse; critical abilities; the ability to communicate; the ability to cooperate. The holder of this Badge has also learned KNOWLEDGE inherent to: the field of design; museum organization; professionalism in the world of museums; the professional career of some Italian designers.
