I am a lecturer at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Ireland. The subjects that I develop and teach are related to the built-environment, and civil engineering in particular. I have been lecturing full-time since 2008, and I gained 11 years industrial experience as a surveyor and engineer prior to that.

Since becoming a lecturer, I have completed a number of post-grad qualifications:

Master of Science in Energy and Sustainable Building Design (2011) Post-grad Certificates in Teaching and Learning and in Technology Enhanced Learning (2012) Master of Education (2015) Doctor of Education (2020)

The most recent qualification is the one most relevant to this site, as the title of the Doctoral thesis suggests:
