The holder of this Badge has obtained the BSc in Scienze dell’Educazione - Educational Sciences at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Badge Criteria
The holder of this Badge has obtained the BSc in Scienze dell'Educazione - Educational Sciences (180 ECTS) at the University of Milano-Bicocca. The Program Structure is available at this link. In order to obtain this degree, a student must enrol and complete the corresponding study program at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Once students complete the activities, ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits are awarded. The ECTS is a credit system for higher education that allows comparison of study attainments of students across the European Union (in Italy, 1 ECTS credit = 25 work or study hours). ECTS credits are awarded to students when they successfully complete learning activities, usually as follows: 1. regarding the taught courses, students must pass a final exam (written, oral, or both written and oral), achieving a mark equal to or higher than 18/30; 2. regarding workshops and training in professional contexts, attendance of the majority of the course is compulsory (75% of the total time) and students must obtain a "pass" grade from the teacher or the supervisor; 3. students must complete an extended essay which consists of a bibliographic research, preferably related to a field research, or to a deep and theoretical analysis of specific aspects of their training experience, to the re-elaboration of their own academic learning and training experience, or to a multimedia, expressive or performative work, as well as an independent study and preparation of a written report. The final degree grade depends on: 1. the weighted average of all grades obtained for all the learning activities, weighed by their ECTS credits; 2. the quality of the extended essay.
Skills
Graduates in Scienze dell'Educazione - Educational Sciences: have a theoretical and applied multidisciplinary training, with a good knowledge of the essential tools for analyzing educational dimensions, professional contexts and the foundations of educational design and planning; are prepared to provide analysis and project proposals in situations relating to educational phenomena; have developed the capacity to analyze the emerging problems in the course of educational work, using methods based on reflection, observation and communication, through which they are able to examine the phenomenology of education in relation to specific characteristics and needs of people, focusing on normality as well as on disadvantages, marginalization, individual fragility and cultural integration; will develop careers as social educators, carrying out educational work, through promotional, preventive, rehabilitation activities, in relation to all ages, groups and conditions of existence; have professional opportunities in different types of companies and organizations (private, public) in residential, local and domiciliary services and projects; have the fundamentals for undertaking different postgraduate studies, especially courses which enhance knowledge and skills related to counseling, pedagogical supervision, educational design and planning, coordination and human resource development.
