Description
The holder of this Badge has acquired the basic knowledge needed for management of a radiophonic product. This knowledge has been gained by taking part in the Bbetween 2017 Multimedia - Radio: basic course pathway. The pathway, jointly set up with the Radio Bicocca association, is intended for anyone with enthusiasm for the radio, orientation towards communication and a desire to get to know the radiophonic medium and how it works, as well as the development of radio with the advent of new web tools and for various aspects of radiophonic communication, such as announcing, audio techniques and discography. The pathway is structured on 9 lessons of approximately 2 hours each. The programme, with details of subjects dealt with and speakers involved, can be viewed here.
Badge Criteria
The Bbetween 2017 Multimedia - Radio: basic course Badge is an activity Badge. The pathway is open to students of the University, as well as outsiders, who enrol and actively participate in at least 6 lessons out of the 9 programmed for the pathway. The pathway is open to everyone and no relevant competency is required on starting. The pathway requires a minimum of 10 students enrolled in order to start and a maximum of 50 participants are accepted.
Skills
The holder of this Badge has demonstrated that he/she possesses and knows how to use the following SKILLS: focus on the search and selection of the subjects and colums, and the best on-line channel for publishing them, in order to make web communication more effective; basic elements for fixing, storing, compressing and analogical/ digital reproduction of an audio item; and has demonstrated that he/she possesses and knows how to use the following SOFT SKILLS: capacity for listening; capacity for analysing; sensitivity in analysing sources, to recognise fake news and clickbait. The holder of this Badge has also acquired aspects of KNOWLEDGE regarding: the radiophonic medium (from its origins to today’s equipment); the world of radiophonic communication; use of a sequencer; conversion of analogical signal to digital signal; the basic rules for good communication and audio production; the opportunities offered by the web and by the new open source tools; the role of the music editor and the A&R; author’s rights and SIAE (Italian Society for Protection of Author’s Rights); basic techniques for drafting an article or press release suited to radiophonic communication in the times of new media and via webradio; basic knowledge of the operation of the radiophonic medium; basic techniques for use of the voice, to get to know techniques of announcing.
