Description
The holder of this Badge has acquired knowledge relating to gender issues and has developed a critical attitude towards the image and role of women and men under a social profile. These aspects of knowledge and competencies were acquired by taking part in the Bbetween 2017 Writing - Gender issues in a changing society pathway. This pathway, proposed by the Library of the University of Milano-Bicocca and the Inter-university Research Center "Culture di Genere", jointly with the Municipal Councillor’s Office for Equal Opportunities of Cinisello Balsamo, is intended for students/staff of the University and the general public, and is divided into 7 lessons, each lasting two hours. Each lesson deals with issues that are extremely topical with teachers from various universities in Milan, who also belong to the “Culture di Genere” Research Centre. At the end of each lesson ample room is given for questions from the participants and exchange of views. To stimulate reflection, involvement and analysis of the issues discussed, a bibliography/sitography is provided before each lesson, actors read excerpts taken from literary works, testimonies and essays during the lessons, and the speakers slides, readings and video recordings of the lessons are made available at the end of each lesson. The full programme with details of the issues dealt with and speakers who contributed can be viewed here.
