Description
The holder of this Badge is a student at the Milan-Bicocca University who: has passed a selection procedure, held by a Commission of experts in the field of orientation, for the purpose of assessing competencies, motivation and previous experience in the area of relations. The selection procedure consists of an interview and/or assessment of curriculum vitae and an introductory letter; he or she has taken part in a training course held by internal lecturers, qualified in the subject of orientation, and staff from the Orientation, Internships and Job Placement Section, for the purpose of further understanding of the kinds of orientation services and procedures in use. The course consists of at least 4 teaching sessions, each lasting 3 hours, on the following topics: demand arising from the users; the processes of sending and returning between Services, University and locality; needs and resources of the users: procedures, models and processes; he or she has worked with the University Orientation Services Network, involving activities of tutoring, promotion and information and helping to ensure a complete, effective answer to the orientation needs and requirements of students at different stages of their educational process, whether at the beginning, during or at the end; he or she has passed the final follow up, by taking part in a workshop on aspects of orientation, during which an individual contribution has been submitted relevant to the expertise acquired during the course.
Badge Criteria
The Bicocca Orientation Network Badge is issued to students of the University of Milan-Bicocca who have: passed the admission test; attended the training course for at least 75% of the programmed hours; worked with the University Orientation Services Network and taken part in at least 60 hours of orientation activities inside and outside of the University; passed the final follow up.
Skills
The holder of this Badge has demonstrated that he or she possesses and knows how to use the following COMPETENCIES: communication; forming and managing groups. In particular: powers of observation, analysis and intervention in specific cases in response to problems of varying complexity. He or she has demonstrated that he or she possesses and knows how to use the following SOFT SKILLS: problem solving; aptitude for relations; communicative aptitude; team work; working in a network; independence; analysis of demand and processes of response. The holder of this Badge has also acquired the following items of KNOWLEDGE: theoretical approaches and methodologies of orientation; models and organisation of orientation services within a university; types of users and training entities in the locality.
