Description
The holder of this Badge has acquired knowledge and skills related to the basic principles of video editing and the main operations of one of the most widely used video editing softwares: Adobe Premiere. This knowledge has been acquired by participating in the Bbetween 2017 Multimedia-Video Editing pathway. The pathway Bbetween 2017 Multimedia-Video Editing is a course of video post production held by experts from the sector, which takes place in an IT laboratory of the University of Milano-Bicocca where each participant has access to an individual PC station, with the Adobe suite installed, including Adobe Premiere. The pathway is divided into 11 lessons for a total of 25 hours and deals with the following subjects: editing from the point of view of cinematographic language and technological approach; overview of the most widely used professional editing software: Avid, Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, Vegas and Edius; study of the features of Adobe Premiere with practical exercises; graphic interface of Adobe Premiere, importing and organising content; editing on the timeline, titling, graphics, effects and Chroma and Luma keys; processing and adding audio; exporting edited film to various standards and formats. At the end of the course, the participants can create a short video presentation to prove their ability to apply the concepts acquired.
Badge Criteria
The Bbetween 2017 Multimedia-Video Editing Badge is an activity Badge. The Badge is issued to students and employees of the University, as well as to others, who have enrolled and attended at least 7 of the 11 lessons programmed for the pathway. The pathway is activated with a minimum enrolment of 10 students and a maximum of 35 participants may enrol. The pathway is open to everyone and no competencies are required on entry.

The holder of this Badge has demonstrated that he or she possesses and knows how to use the following SKILLS: editing from the point of view of cinematographic language and technological approach; use of Adobe Premiere; editing on the timeline; titling, graphics, effects and Chroma and Luma keys; processing and adding audio; exporting edited film to various standards and formats; and the following SOFT SKILLS: collaboration (working in a team to achieve a common result - work groups); problem solving (capacity for adapting personal technical knowledge to situations which change rapidly over time - practice on the field); communication and persuasion (capacity for relating to a subject and guiding it to achievement of a best possible result - practice on the field); planning (creating a video starting from a personal vision - practice on the field and informatics laboratory). The holder of this Badge has also successfully learned the following KNOWLEDGE: knowledge of cinematographic language; features of Adobe Premiere post production software; techniques of audio/video editing.
