Description
The holder of this Badge has participated in the Bbetween Music 2016-Amateur Course (go to the full programme) and learned the basics of technique and interpretation, while improving his or her personal performance. The Bbetween Music 2016 –Amateur Course, is designed for beginners or anyone who plays an instrument on an intermediate level and involves attending one of the following courses: 1. Course of Opera Singing2. Course of Guitar3. Course of Pianoforte4. Course of ViolinEach course comprises 12 lessons lasting one hour each at weekly intervals. The lessons are held by teachers of proven concert and teaching experience and involve a maximum of three students taking part in each class.
Badge Criteria
The Bbetween Music2016-Amateur Badge is an activity Badge. It is issued to students ofthe University of Milano-Bicocca and to anyone else who applies to participate. The conditions required forthe Badge to be issued are: enrolment for the Bbetween Music 2016 –Amateur Course; active participation in at least 70% of theprogrammed activities; positive assessment by the respective master, by means of an examination to verify knowledge, skills and competencies acquired. Each of the 4 courses (Opera Singing, Guitar, Pianoforte, Violin) is activated with a minimum of 3 and amaximum of 12 students enrolled. Each class is made up of three students. Each course is aimed at beginners or anyone who can play an instrument at intermediate level.
Skills
The holder of this Badge has demonstrated that he or she possesses and knows how to use the following SKILLS: ability to read simple or medium difficulty scores and decide the method for studying and possibly memorising them; interpretation of a musical passage, taking into consideration its context in the composer’s period of history; and has strengthened the following SOFT SKILLS: independence and initiative: students are capable of self-motivation without the need of stimuli and/or outside control, while studying their own instrument independently, in accordance with what has been learned during the lesson; intensity for a result: students are capable of ensuring personal commitment, focusing their own energy with tenacity and consistent performance, even when faced by unexpected obstacles, until reaching the expected technical-musical standard; organisation: students have learned, through the regularity of the lessons, to use their time and resources efficiently in carrying out determined tasks and achieve the results set down for the course; control: under the stimulus of their respective masters, students have learned how to complete the set tasks precisely and with constant commitment, defining the aims to focus on in consideration of the final exam and identifying potential distractions and adoption of corrective strategies. The holder of this Badge has also successfully acquired the following items of KNOWLEDGE: elements of musical theory; elements of instrumental practice; knowledge of elements of musical styles.
