The Badge “Electrolux Open Innovation Ambassador Explorer recognizes that the owner: - has participated at Electrolux initiative “Open Innovation (OI) Ambassadors Journey for Explorers - has acquired key competences and experiences about OI Model and Strategy; - has the responsibility to deploy OI Model in Electrolux, playing as link between OI Team and Electrolux stakeholders. “OI Ambassador Journey is a special program, addressed to Electrolux employees, promoted and driven by Electrolux OI Team, to create OI experts in different Electrolux departments, who will have the responsability to support key OI activities.

Badge Criteria

The Badge owner has completed these steps of “Open Innovation (OI) Ambassadors Journey for Explorers program, having: attended “OIA Explorer -Step 1 workshop (2 days), reaching awareness of OI Strategy and OI Challenges mechanisms; experienced 2 months homeworks, experimenting “Focus and “Screen steps of OI Challenges, playing as link between OI Team and their own department; attended “OIA Explorer -Step 2 workshop (2 days), reaching full understanding of OI Challenges process and reaching the ability to support key OI activities.

Skills

The owner of this Badge has acquired crucial knowledge, competences and experiences to support key Open Innovation activities. Knowledgeknowledge of Open Innovation Model, that includes the understanding of how the model is born, the reason why it represents a value for innovative groups and how it can be deployed in a structured organization. This knowledge allows to understand the value of Open Innovation in a short and long-term perspective and how it can connect different innovative ecosystems to deliver business together; knowledge of the Electrolux Open Innovation Strategy, that includes the understanding of the role and responsibility of Open Innovation and the functionalities of the 3 Pillars of the OI Strategy in terms of objectives, processes and elements to succeed. This knowledge allows to reinforce the mechanisms that facilitate the alliances between external innovative networks and internal company departments. Competences with reference to the Electrolux Open Innovation Strategy: "Understanding" level about "OI Challenges" pillar, reaching crucial abilities to support 2 steps of the process: -"Focus" Step: ability to collect strategic areas and needs (technical or business) in their own department; ability to translate needs into ideas requests and review with Open Innovation Team to evaluate the potential launch of new OI Challenges; - "Screen" Step: ability to analyze ideas - with reference to the filtering deliverables-that can fit strategic areas and needs of their own department; ability to promote ideas to the proper internal stakeholders and support the creation of new company projects to transform those ideas into new business opportunities. "Awareness" level about "OI Network" pillar, reaching ability to recognize the value offered by Open Innovation Brokers, as intermediate partners to reach innovators in non-conventional ecosystems. Experiences- Definition and management of Open Innovation Challenges as call for ideas to external non-conventional innovators; - Analysis of proposals from external innovators and creation of the proper alliance model.
