Description
The holder of this Badge has attended the English B2. 2 Oral skills course held by the City of Milan. At the end of the course, the student has taken a final examination attesting they have successfully reached the communicative competence required for the B2. 2 Oral skills level, with the relevant “can do statement attached, as set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The Badge is of particular importance in the current European context: in accordance with the guidelines of the European parliament, knowing and communicating with ease in a foreign language is considered to be the second key skill required for full employment in EU countries.
Badge Criteria
The holder of this Badge: was admitted to the English B2. 2 Oral skills Course after a specific placement test; has attended the English B2. 2 Oral skills Course at approved centres in the year 2014-2015; has passed the final examination. During the course, and with the final examination result, the student has shown that: can understand conversations/contributions in a discussion on both concrete and abstract topics; can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers possible without effort or strain for either party; can explain a viewpoint on a topical issue, giving the pros and cons of various options. This Badge therefore certifies that the student has reached the B2. 2 Oral skills Level in English, as set out by the specifications of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR).
