Description
This Badge certifies attendance at the 2016 edition of the Giardino delle Imprese - ICARO project. The Giardino delle Imprese - ICARO is a project set up by the Golinelli Foundation for university students chosen from the Schools of the University of Bologna. ICARO is an entrepreneurial gym for university students aiming to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit and create innovative ideas for business and with the intention of bringing young people closer to traditional Italian production and help them to become innovative. The 2016 edition involved 33 students and was held over three full-immersion sessions, with time spent in class, support from mentors, workshops and encounters with entrepreneurs. During the intervals between one workshop and the next, the participants worked independently, with support from specialised mentors, visited the companies involved in the project and took part in encounters providing them with “lateral stimuli The learning experience also had a motivational aspect, to help the youngsters to reflect on a wider consideration of their human/professional identity. The activities, workshops and encounters were held in the Opificio Golinelli factory and in the various businesses involved over the 7 month period (February 2016-October 2016). The full-immersion workshop sessions were held from 25 to 27 February, from 12 to 14 May and from 29 September to the first of October. The focal point for the whole course was the development of an entrepreneurial project work by the course participants, working in groups over the entire duration of the project. The project work dealt with critical issues and plans of the actual companies that were partners to the Giardino delle imprese-ICARO. The study method employed during ICARO is known as DESIGN THINKING, a new educational model involving an integrated combination of personal needs, latest available technology and the various business dynamics, in order to create new value and exploit the opportunities offered by the market. The overall commitment per student over the whole duration of the training course was equivalent to about one day per week.
Badge Criteria
The holder of this Badge is a university student of the University of Bologna who attended the 2016 edition of the Giardino delle Imprese- ICARO project. The student attended the three full-immersion sessions, carried out group work and spent periods working separately from the course and independently. He or she completed a final project for the undertaking.
