Description
The holder of this Badge has completed the incubation path organised by FabriQ, the incubator of social innovation of the City Council of Milan,operationally managed by a Provisional Enterprise Association (ATI -Associazione Temporanea d’Impresa) composed of the Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini and Impact Hub Milano. The incubation path, lasting for 9 months, is open to startups chosen after an invitation for applications. The incubation path includes educational seminars, workshops and meetings with businessmen and experts. The mode of operation envisages sharing, discussion and networking, to offer an experience of growing, aimed at transforming the teams involved into social innovators, capable of making a real impact on the social fabric they refer to. The project envisages the following three stages: a first stage to define a business plan, review the business model and setup the company; a second stage to test the prototype/product/service to be launched on themarket; the third stage is dedicated to obtaining financing, hiring staff andassessing future needs. Each potential company is assisted by a tutor, who has the task of providing backup for setting up and developing the company, not only in the more technical/operational aspects but also in the more complex areas of a public relations and promotional nature. The activities supplied during the incubation path are aimed at raising awareness and developing transversal aptitudes and competencies, linked tothe world of innovation, entrepreneurship and social impact. The holder of this Badge has also taken part in educational meetings on thefollowing issues: Lean startup and Business Model Canvas; Web marketing: communications, customer acquisition &retention; Project management; Branding and visual identity; Taxation and legal Matters; Budgeting; Equity Crowdfunding; Challenges and strategies for growth and scaling; Pitching.
Badge Criteria
This Badge is issued to the components of the start-ups who have completed the FabriQ Incubation Path. Admission to the Path is through an official invitation for applications offered bythe City Council of Milan. The official invitations, made periodically, are announced on the City Council websites and the FabriQ website and also publicised through the social networks. The projects presented are subjected to selection on the basis of the criteria as described in the official invitation, after which a list is announced showing the successful candidates admitted to the incubation paths.
