Description
The owner of this Badge is a Cineca employee who has attended the Java Servlet/Jsp course, passed the final test and successfully completed, without assistance, the final project. The Java Servlet/Jsp course is focussed on the range of training that Cineca offers its employees, in order to improve their competencies in the area of software development; in effect, the Java language is used for development of countless Cineca products and services, from the management of universities down to that of schools, or from projects developed for MIUR (Italian Ministry for instruction, universities and research) to those commissioned by the health system. The main topics dealt with during the course are as follows: DHTML creation; Response in Java: JEE & JCP; servlet and JSP; request, response, session, servlet context, filters, listener; Tomcat as a standalone server: base structures, configuration files and JDBC datasource; development of WebApp-WAR; Model-View-Controller (MVC) software design patterns; Standard, Custom and EL Taglib expression; exception handling; evolutions toward JSF, Servlet 3. 0, CSS bootstrap. Requirements for enrolment are: basic knowledge of the programming language for Java Objects; knowledge of JDBC Java; knowledge of HTML/CSS; familiarity with at least one development area. The course totals 35 hours.
Badge Criteria
The Java Servlet/Jsp Badge is issued to Cineca employees who meet the following requirements: knowledge of Html and CSS style sheets; familiarity with the programming language of Java/Java JDBC Objects; familiarity with the use of a development environment; complete attendance of the Java Servlet/Jsp course, at the end of which: the final quiz-format exam has been taken and passed; a final project has been successfully completed, within a period of two weeks at home, for the purpose of demonstrating: the ability to develop a simple web application with Servlet and Jsp; the ability to install and manage the basic configuration of a Tomcat Servlet container; the ability to develop Java code to interact with a relational database for managing data persistence.
