Description

The owner of this Badge passed a recruitment/selection phase, through an interview; participated to an intensive initial training, entailing personal experimentation with the Lab’O method; participated to workshops as an observer and joint facilitator, following the agenda, carrying on documentation, assessment and report activities; regularly attended meetings devoted to design, training and supervision; passed the final evaluation on acquired competences. Activities develop around 12 months (November-October), to reach a total amount of 120 hours.

Badge Criteria

The Lab’O Junior Facilitator Badge is assigned to students enrolled in the Bicocca university and potential external candidates, admitted with initial selection, who conducted around 12 workshops (30 hours or so) with the scheduled activities (documentation 40 hours, training 40 hours and final assessment: a reflexive text, to be turned in at the end on the year, 10 hours or so). Completion of 120 hours and final evaluation entitle participants to receive the Badge. The path is addressed to students enrolled in master level courses of the Milano Bicocca University and to a small number of teachers and workers, internal or external to the university (maximum 5). Required pre-competences are: propension to relationship and risk-taking, communication skills, motivation, reliability, responsibility, autonomy. The number of admitted participants is maximum 20. The Badge is propaedeutic to the Lab’O Senior Facilitator and Lab’O Executive Badges.

Skills

The owner of this Badge showed the possess and capacity to use the following SKILLS: skills in facilitation of group in educational guidance and life design activities (with a narrative, aesthetic, reflexive method); skills in observation; skills in documentation: writing, photos and reports; skills in qualitative evaluation; and reinforced the following SOFT SKILLS: reflexive and self-reflexive skills; design skills; risk-taking skills; responsibility assumption skills; awareness of context; teamwork; creativity. The owner of this Badge also learned successfully the following KNOWLEDGE: knowledge of guidance and life design processes in the world of school, university and workplace; knowledge of theories and practices of education in group settings; knowledge of communication aspects.
