Issued since 22 December 2017.

Description

The holder of this Badge has successfully passed the Logical Capabilities test offered by Selexi S. r. l and demonstrated special ability in numerical reasoning, in analytical/deductive and abstract reasoning, in verbal reasoning and in problem solving skills. The test is held in four modules to be completed within a set time and aimed at assessing the individual skills in the four separate logical capabilities identified: Module 1:   numerical reasoning skills (20  questions in 20 minutes)Module 2:   analytical/deductive and abstract reasoning skills (40 questions in 40 minutes)Module 3:   verbal reasoning skills (20 questions in 20 minutes)Module 4:   problem solving skills (20

Badge Criteria

To obtain the Logical Capabilities Badge the candidate is required to pass a test composed of a total of 100 items to be completed in a maximum time of 120 minutes (overall total for the four modules). The following scores are attributed to the individual questions: one point (+1) for each correct answer; penalty of one quarter of a point ( . 25) for each wrong answer; zero points (0) for each answer omitted. The test is passed with a total of a minimum of 65 points in each module. Each of the 4 modules making up the test gives 3 levels (bronze - silver - gold) on the basis of the score achieved: Bronze Level: score between 65 and 80 pointsSilver Level: score between 810 and 90 pointsGold Level: score over 90 points

Skills

The holder of this Badge has demonstrated that he or she possesses the following skills, subdivided into the four main  logical skills confirmed by the four test modules: Numerical reasoning skills (Module 1: 20 questions in 20 minutes)strong ability to identify numerical relationships; considerable mathematical ability; possession of gift of intuition, in order to reach logical solutions for the situations presented. Analytical/deductive and abstract reasoning skills (Module 2: 40 questions in 40 minutes)strong ability to elaborate information supplied, in order to reach logically consistent solutions; identify and understand the relationship between concepts with no linguistic or numerical elements; aptitude for conducing general information into particular conclusions. Verbal reasoning skills (Module 3: 20 questions in 20 minutes)considerable critical/verbal skills to elicit correct information from one or more given hypothesis; ability in pure verbal reasoning, that assume logical reasoning guided by written/oral information; understanding and elaboration skills. In particular, this Module test the ability to induce inferences and draw conclusions which are logical consequences of complex information, presented in the form of synthetic problems or texts, and the ability to connect terms and conditions through logical reasoning. Problem solving skills (Module 4: 20 questions in 40 minutes)considerable ability in problem solving. In particular, problem solving is the cognitive process put into action to analyse a problematical situation and figure out a solution. The concept of problem solving implies structured reasoning aimed at resolving complex situations, which cannot be achieved by automatic application of procedures that are already familiar, nor by a merely intuitive or instinctive approach. A complex problem is made up of multiple elements related to each other, creating a network which at first sight seems indecipherable. Anyone who successfully completes this module has the ability to straighten out this tangle, get to the bottom of it and reach awareness of the relationship between the elements of the problem (insight), down to the point of an overall view. Once this condition of awareness has been reached, the solver becomes able to transform and reconstruct the relationships between the elements of the problem, reorganise them and find the key to interpretation, which can lead to a solution corresponding to criteria of effectiveness and efficiency.
