Description
The owner of this Badge has passed the OVS Store Manager Trainee selection test and successfully completed the OVS Store Management School training course, to earn the OVS Store Manager Diploma. OVS believes in people and takes care of their professional development, by investing in leading edge training courses. As for all courses that lead to an objective, the OVS Store Management School also has to be taken step by step, with the chance to combine different learning techniques: knowledge: study, listen, remember; example: watch what others do; test: with the backing of the expert; experience: put things into practice. The training course is held over 15 months, set out as follows: 1st stage: 9 months of accompanied training in three sessions of three months each, with precise aims: “joining a team “preparation “training in the role". At the end of each session, the learning level is measured with an assessment test, the last of which, together with an assessment by the Store Manager Trainer and Area Manager responsible, will allow access to the next stage of the course: the real challenge. 2nd stage: 6 months of tutoring: “Put yourself to the Test A store will be assigned to the candidate, who will act as the reference figure for the company, but his or her actions will still be followed from a distance by a Store Manager Trainer. On the job study and work experience will develop the competencies which go to make up the professional portfolio of the Store Manager: commercial analysis, visual merchandising, administrative management, product, organisation of work, operations and tools. By attending workshops, it will also be possible to deepen knowledge of Managerial Skills, which will then be nurtured over a whole future career in OVS, to enrich business acumen and grow into an excellent Store Manager. On completion of the training course, the results of the 4 tests, together with the assessments of the Store Manager Trainer and Area Manager, will determine the final score, which will then earn the candidate the OVS Store Manager Diploma, with the right to embellish his or her Professional Curriculum with the relevant Badge.
Badge Criteria
If you are a young graduate or owner of a university diploma with a brief but significant experience of the retail world, if you have good command of English and if you are looking to gain experience in an OVS store anywhere in the country, you can apply for the selection course of OVS Store Manager Trainee, which may lead to the award of the OVS Store Manager Diploma. You will attend interviews from a distance, using hangouts or web conference systems, since familiarity with technology is a plus. Interviews are also included where you will tell us how you actually developed your personal professional skills. In some cases you will be asked to complete tests or questionnaires or to get involved in business cases. Those who pass the selection process are taken on to become part of OVS as an OVS Store Manager Trainee, with an initial contract lasting 18 months. On the job experience and training will lead to the OVS Store Manager Trainees putting themselves to the test in the following activities: operations, logistics and goods handling, people management, visual merchandising, customer service and ensuring customer loyalty, store administration and accounting, commercial and marketing strategies. To be hired as an OVS Store Manager Trainee and then enter the OVS Store Management School you need to display the following characteristics: dynamism; flexibility; problem solving capability; result oriented; relationship and team building capability; leadership; organisational and coordination capability; excellent command of English; availability for moving anywhere in the country. The OVS Store Manager Trainees who, on completion of the learning course, pass the assessment tests and exams are awarded the OVS Store Manager Diploma: this is the first stage on the road to personal and professional development, which is a feature of the profession of Store Manager in OVS.
