Description
This Badge is issued to Representatives for information and services (RIF) for the Federal Portal of the University of Turin, who are responsible for management of websites set up on the CampusNet platform. Federated architecture websites set up both for publishing information related to the Departments, and therefore referring to research activity, and for management of information concerning academic offers (from first degree courses to masters degrees and research doctorates, etc. ) represent a strategic tool for the purposes of communication with users. The RIF are the reference figures for management and coordination of information flows concerning the Organisational Units of the University and its teaching and research activities. This Badge gives validity to the individual competencies of the CampusNet RIF.
Badge Criteria
This Badge is issued to employees of the University of Turin who have been officially appointed as Representatives for information and services (RIF) for the Federal Portal for the Campusnet service and have participated in the training course. The Badge certifies successful completion of the course and passing of the final examination, which consists of an online test and an interview: it demonstrates knowledge of reference documentation and ability to ensure proper fulfilment of the role.

The holder of this Badge has already acquired the "Representatives for information and services –Federal Portal" Badge and therefore possesses the valid competencies. The holder of this Badge also carries out the following activities: attending training and updating meetings on the optimal use of the platform and on specific focusing linked to new developments or particularly important functional features; gathering information requirements for his or her own Organisational Unit, related to teaching and research, and meeting them through organisation of the information regarding the organisational requirements; working towards improved organisation of the contents of the websites, making them more user oriented and based on principles of user-friendliness and accessibility; fostering knowledge of solutions and services that are already available within his or her own Organisational Unit, making it suitably visible; helping users (especially teachers and students) to obtain full use of the tool’s potential.
