Representatives for information and services Federal PortalThis Badge is issued to all Representatives for information and services (RIF) for the Federal Portal of the University of Turin. The Portal of the University of Turin is a strategic tool for the purposes of communication with its users. The RIF are the reference figures for management and coordination of information flows and services of the organisational units which make up the University. At present, the following categories of RIF are envisaged: Planning and Communication, Federated Website , Campusnet, E-learning, Documentation Platform , Digital Identity , Contents Area, UniTo Media, Social Network, Thematic Website, Telephone Billing, Network, Wifi and VoIP, Thinclient and cloud, Work Stations and Licences, Common Computerized Spaces and Iscreen. This Badge gives validity to the competencies common to the various categories.
Badge Criteria
The Representative for information and services in the Universityl Federal Portal (RIF) normally carries out his or her duties within the various organisational structures of the University. He or she is a figure appointed by the respective managers for the execution of specific activities concerning information flows and interactive services on the University Federal Portal. In the opinion of the manager, the RIF possesses the necessary requisites to carry out his duties in an excellent manner. To act as a “RIF it is not necessary to be an IT expert or have specific technical knowledge and competencies. However, it is indispensible that the RIF should have adequate knowledge of the main IT processes and the services that constitute the most common object of the institutional activity of the organisational unit he or she belongs to. Selecting/confirming the RIF’s takes place annually in concurrence with the provisions of the Operational Plan for the Portal and IT Systems (POP-SI). The RIF’s undergo instruction and training sessions.
Skills
The holder of this Badge has demonstrated and consolidated the following APTITUDES: good ability to communicate; aptitude for rafting documents, together with ability to write and summarize; predisposed to team work; good level of operational autonomy; good level of flexibility; spirit of initiative and enterprise; wide awareness, in the organisational structure where he or she is employed, of ideas, processes, information flows and services. The holder of this Badge has demonstrated that he or she possesses and knows how to apply the following SOFT SKILLS: resolving complex problems: identifying complex problems and gathering information to help assess possible options and find solutions; active learning: understanding the implications of new information for solving existing and future problems and for decision-making processes; critical sense: using logic and reasoning to identify the pros and cons of solutions and conclusions or alternative approaches to problems; ability to analyse: analysing the features and prerequisites of tools, services or products needed to complete a project; speaking: speaking to others, to pass on information in an effective manner; writing: communicating effectively in writing and appropriately to the needs of the recipients. The holder of this Badge has also demonstrated and consolidated the following aspects of KNOWLEDGE: adequate knowledge of the principal IT processes and the services that constitute the main object of the institutional activity of the organisational unit he or she belongs to.
