Description

The holder of this Badge has attended at least four seminars, developed and delivered by the Ca Foscari Competency Centre of the Ca Foscari University of Venice, devoted to the development of emotional and social competencies.  Soft skills represent a set of individual characteristics that are required in order to achieve effective working performances.  Since they are transversal, these competencies may be put into action in any professional position and may be of emotional, social or cognitive nature. During each of the seminars, the participant is led to: studying the importance of a specific soft skill in improving personal performance; acquiring awareness of his or her own level of possession of the specific soft skill; understanding how the specific soft skill results in effective behaviour; learning and applying strategies for developing the specific soft skill. Each seminar is structured on interactive classes (or through webinars) and activities to be carried out online. The learning pathway is characterized by experiential activities, which encompass, for example, self-reflection exercises, group confrontations, analysis and discussion of movie clips or case studies, and simulations.

Badge Criteria

This Badge is issued to anyone who has attended and actively participated in at least four seminars, two of which dealing with the development of emotional competencies and two seminars dealing with the development of social competencies. The participants must also have completed, within the set deadlines, all the activities assigned during the learning pathway.

Skills

The holder of this Badge has acquired techniques for putting into practice, in daily life, the emotional and social competencies developed during the seminars. In particular, he or she has developed the following ABILITIES: understanding the significance of specific emotional and social competencies and their neurophysiological dimension; assessing how often he or she manifests certain emotional and social competencies; learning techniques for training specific emotional and social competencies drawing up a learning plan for each specific emotional and social competency; putting into practice and training, in the context of daily life, those techniques learned for developing emotional and social competencies. The holder of this Badge has also demonstrated that he or she has developed emotional SOFT SKILLS (among: achievement orientation, adaptability, managing uncertainty, stress management, integrity, self-confidence, conscientiousness, exploration, self-control,resilience, problem solving, change orientation) and social SOFT SKILLS (among: empathy, persuasion, teamwork, communication, leadership, conflict management, negotiation, customer orientation). The Badge also certifies learning of the following aspects of KNOWLEDGE: the meaning of soft skills and their neurophysiological components; the neurophysiological dimension of learning soft skills; the various techniques by which a competency may be learned; the learning plan.
